Emily Wang joins the Jury Panel of the China–Singapore International Music Competition (Singapore Preliminary Round)

On 13 September 2025, Emily Wang, Founder of SoMe Music School, was invited to serve as a juror for the Singapore Preliminary Round of the China–Singapore International Music Competition (Singapore Preliminary Round). She participated in the adjudication alongside Professor Han Oh, Professor of Viola at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore.

The China–Singapore International Music Competition has been successfully held for twenty editions and is ISO-certified. As a well-recognised international music competition, it has long been dedicated to discovering and nurturing young musical talent, providing a professional, impartial and internationally benchmarked platform for young musicians from different countries and regions.
The Singapore Preliminary Round attracted numerous young musicians, who demonstrated solid technical foundations, diverse musical interpretations and distinctive artistic expression on stage. The adjudication process focused on multiple aspects, including technical proficiency, musical expression, artistic understanding, and stage presentation, with the aim of offering comprehensive and objective evaluations based on overall musical competence and developmental potential.
Through this adjudication experience, meaningful exchanges were fostered among professionals from different musical and educational backgrounds, further broadening perspectives on the development of international youth music education. The insights gained from this process serve as valuable references for future teaching and artistic training, supporting young musicians as they continue to grow on higher-level and broader international stages.
