Growing together with parents has always been a n important educational focus at SoMe Music School. Through years of music teaching practice, the school has observed that a child's steady progress in music learning depends not only on classroom instruction, but also closely relates to the home environment and the way parents accompany and support the learning process. Music education is a long-term journey that requires time and patience. Only by understanding the nature and structure of learning can children develop in a healthy and sustainable manner.

Guided by this belief, SoMe Music School held the first session o f the Parents Growing
Together Sharing Series on April 11, 2025, under the theme "Music Learning - Accompanying Children on Their Artistic Journey of Growth". This sharing session focused on common and practical issues faced by young music learners, with the aim o f helping parents gain a clearer understanding of the essence of music education and their role in their children's artistic development.
During the session, discussions centred on challenges commonly encountered at different learning stages, including fluctuations in motivation, reduced practice efficiency, and a lack of clear learning goals. Through the analysis of real teaching cases, parents were guided to better understand the underlying reasons behind a child's loss of direction, and to respond with a more rational and steady approach, reducing unnecessary pressure caused by anxiety or misunderstanding.
Parental involvement during practice was also an important topic of discussion. The session examined common misconceptions that arise during home practice and shared practical approaches that are more suitable for long-term implementation. These methods help parents support their children effectively even without a professional music background, allowing practice sessions t o gradually develop into a stable and structured learning routine.
From a broader educational perspective, the sharing session also included classical music
appreciation and cultural context, guiding parents to understand the artistic value behind musical works. This approach encourages music learning to move beyond technical training or short-term goals, and instead become a long-term accumulation of aesthetic awareness and cultural understanding.
In addition, the session systematically reviewed the overall structure of music learning,
including the sequencing of study stages, the setting of learning objectives, and the
appropriate role of performances, competitions, and examinations. This framework helps
parents develop a clearer long-term perspective and lays a solid and sustainable foundation for their children's artistic growth.
This event marked the first session of the Piano Students Parents Sharing Series, themed Music in Everyday Life. The content covered classical music appreciation, common
challenges in the learning process, strategies for maintaining long-term interest, a scientifically structured learning sequence, and the role of parents in practice support and encouragement. The sharing emphasized practical content and clear logic, grounded in real teaching experience, and avoided abstract or superficial discussion.
Through this sharing session, SoMe Music School aims to help parents build a more stable understanding and approach to accompanying their children in music learning, enabling students to grow in a more supportive and understanding environment. The school will continue to promote such educational exchanges and work together with families to support the long-term and healthy development of music education.
