SoMe Music School Founder Emily Wang Invited to Perform at Sian Chay Cultural Forum - Celebrity Recital

On December 28, 2024, Sian Chay Cultural Forum hosted a Celebrity Recital at the China Cultural Centre in Singapore. Emily Wang, founder of SoMe Music School, was specially invited to serve as the piano accompanist, performing three to four piano accompaniment pieces. Her refined and expressive playing added artistic depth and emotional resonance to the entire recital. 



The guest of honor for this event was Ms. Sun Xue Ling, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Social and Family Development, Singapore. The co-chairs included Dato’ Sri Chew Soon Huat, JP, Voluntary Executive Chairman of Sian Chay Medical Institution,as well as Professor Wang Runhua, Distinguished Professor at Southern University College, Malaysia. Event guests included Dr. Cai Zhili, President of the Singapore Federation of Chinese Cultural & Arts Associations; Professor Cai Runhuang, Vice President of Southern University College, Malaysia; Mr. Lim Teck Nam, President of the Singapore Writers Association; and others.



The atmosphere at the recital was both dignified and warm. Emily Wang’s piano performance accompanied multiple recitation segments, including one collaborative piece presented together with renowned Singaporean tenor Mr Chua Kit. The piano and vocal performance complemented each other seamlessly, demonstrating a high level of artistic synergy through the fusion of music and literature, and received enthusiastic applause and unanimous praise from distinguished guests and audience members. 



As the founder of SoMe Music School, Emily Wang has long been actively engaged in both music education and stage performance. She regularly participates in social and cultural arts initiatives and is dedicated to promoting cross-disciplinary integration between music, literature and culture. Her invitation to perform at the Sian Chay Cultural Forum Celebrity Recital not only highlighted her professional musical artistry, but also reflected SoMe Music School’s continuously expanding influence within Singapore’s cultural and arts landscape.
